Please make sure your browser is set to Allow Access to Microphone if that is an option. If you use Safari as your browser, please note that any version prior to 12 may not work with certain features such as Audio Recording. In addition, please make sure that the Media Recorder is activated in Safari. On desktop, in the Safari menu bar, click on “Develop.” Go to “Experimental Features” and make sure that “MediaRecorder” is checked. If you do not see “Develop” in the menu bar, then go to “Preferences” and click on the “Advanced” tab. Check the box next to “Show Develop menu in menu bar.” On iPhones, go to “Settings” then “Safari” then “Advanced” then “Experimental Features” and activate “MediaRecorder.” If you are still having difficulties, please send us a message using our Contact form .
Please note that some web browsers such as Safari or older versions of a web browser may not be optimized for some features used on LanguageARC. For best results we recommend using the most up-to-date version of Chrome.
In the near future, approved researchers will be able to build their own LanguageARC projects using our Project Builder Toolkit. If you have a project in mind that has more immediate needs, please contact us to discuss using our Contact form .
